Ramble Goes to LA

Hi Everyone !!

This last weekend were some fun filled days of LA madness ! Each day was exhausting in the best way. I would wake up at 6 and go to sleep at midnight. I wanted to make the best of our very short 3 days in LA. You can see our trip documented on Instagram with the hashtag #RAMBLEGOESTOLA. We would love to see all our fellow ramblers' LA adventures as well, so feel free to us our tag to share your experiences and build a community of fun !

THURSDAY: Day 1

My flight from Portland left at a frighteningly early 5 am. I got on the plane groggy and in my usual "don't talk to me" morning state. My flight landed and I stepped foot in LA. My first day was madness. I spent the morning stuck on traffic driving to Beverly to grab a bite to eat and do some summer shopping. I ended up at Urth cafe. I've eaten here before and was not a fan, however I decided to give it a second shot, and was still underwhelmed. I would say avoid the hype of Urth cafe and hit up some of the vegan and greek cafes in Beverly. For the rest of the day I drove from casting to casting, from West Hollywood out to Culver City, back and forth. I had 4 agency meetings and met some amazingly nice people and also got signed as a model in LA (woo!). After a long stint in in traffic I finally made it back to my Airbnb in WeHo. It was a short walk to the Grove from the apartments, so I spent my evening eating pasta and shopping at Topshop and Zara; a nice and to a hectic day.

FRIDAY: Day 2

It was another early morning, woke up at 6 am to make it all the way to Disneyland before it got busy. I arrived in the magic kingdom just as the gates were opened. I had a hopper pass for the day which turned out to be crucial for optimal fun ! Our first stop was California Adventure where I got to scream my head off on California Screamin and Tower of Terror. We hopped back and forth between there and Disney. In Disney my favorite ride is a toss up between Splash Mountain and the Teacups. There's a lot of fun in the thrill and then there's so much appreciation for the artistry and creativity in Disneyland that really takes you to another place. I'd say Disney is a must, no matter how old you are, Disneyland brings out a young spirit in everyone.

SATURDAY: Day 3

My final day in LA was spent relaxing at the beach ! Beaches in LA are all magical for their own unique reasons. Venice and Santa Monica have an element of novelty which makes them a must see, however if you want to get into the water at a clean beach, these are not the places to do that. If your'e down to people watch, do a little touristy shopping, and see some landmark places, then these beaches are for you. But, if you want a more quaint beach, then one like Manhattan is the one for you ! Manhattan was by far my favorite beach in the LA area. The community acknowledges health and cleanliness. The restaurants are delicious and vegan/vegetarian friendly and the shopping is amazing with stores like LF and Free People.
