Meet Ali Gay from @eatburnbalance !

Ali is 21 and a senior business marketing student at the University of Portland. She first became interested in fitness 4 years ago and started to focus in on weight lifting 2 years ago. As a college student she is an expert on balancing school and a healthy lifestyle.
For freshman that fear the "freshman 15", Ali says to "set aside time to sweat!" She recommends to not think of the gym as a place where you have to be for a long time because it can be daunting and intimidating. Try and get there for at least 30 minutes a day, and usually when you go that long you will want to do more. For healthy snacks Ali's favorites are quest bars, greek yogurt with peanut butter, fruits, veggies, and she always has a side of peanut butter and rice cakes.
For the 30 minute workout Ali has put together her favorite exercises for us. She says "This workout is all about raising your heart rate and keeping it there for a short amount of time. It offers maximum benefit with the least amount of time to get results. Keeping the integrity high and short puts your body into anaerobic mode, meaning your metabolic heart rate will spike while your heart (and body!) is working hard and getting fit". You can do this exercise routine in your dorm or apartment and you don't need anything but a good mindset.
Lets get to it !
1) Burpees: 8 reps

2) Planks with leg lift and arm lift: 5 reps each side (arm + leg = 1 rep)

3) Floor touches: 30 reps

4) Squat with lateral leg lift : 16 reps (each side)

5) Push-Up: 10 reps

6) Jump Switch lunge: 20 reps (10 each side)

Now go break a sweat !!!
Huge thanks to mega babe Ali Gay from @eatburnbalance ! If she could tell the internet one thing about herself she said it'd be "I can whistle through my tongue! OH, and I'm nut butter obsessed".
