Fall on Film

All photos shot by Mary Thomas on film.

Photos 1-5 are from a shoot I just did with black and white film. I’m calling it “Looking for Ghouls” as a collection. The rest are a compilation of my work from the past. While the color photos were developed at various photography stores around Portland, I developed and printed the black and white roll myself in the darkroom. Shooting in black and white is super fun for me because I love working in the darkroom especially when I get the whole place to myself. The darkroom is extremely calming and a great way to relieve stress as I’m creating images.

With every roll of film I shoot I learn something new about my photography as well as about myself. The things I learn help me to strive for uniqueness and develop a personal style that’s always changing.
