A Guide to: Keeping it Classy in Cabo

I got the chance to spend a week in the city of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over spring break. We were a week late and missed the hype of college week, but it was still a blast. It was my first time vacationing in this city and it was nothing short of amazing.

We stayed at the oceanfront resort, Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach which I highly recommend. The service was unbeatable, they make sure to take care of your every need 24 hours of the day! Great for a girls trip, or a family vacation! There are a total of 6 pools at the resort giving you many options of where to relax and eat your quesadillas and endless margaritas!

One of my favorite things was waking up early to the warm breeze and doing a little workout on the beach by the resort. The view made it easier to get a quick workout in before a day of indulgence!

We chose to go downtown most nights to enjoy the city life as well. It was a quick 15 minute drive from the resort to the strip downtown. There were multiple authentic restaurants that we enjoyed on the side streets like Maria Jimenez, a family owned Mexican restaurant, as well as an Italian Restaurant, Salvatore’s. The food unreal!

Spending the day at Medano Beach is a must too. You can jet ski, walk along the beach, grab a drink at Mango Deck, or just lay out and enjoy the hot sun, and warm ocean water.

This is definitely a trip I will have to take again, because everything was so perfect!

Hits:

  • Maria Jimenez Mexican Restaurant

  • Sunset Da Monalisa - Enjoy a fancy dinner overlooking the Arch of Cabo San Lucas while watching the sunset.

  • Jet skiing at Medano Beach

  • Laying by the pool of course

  • Sunset Cruise on the Oceanus - Beautiful two hour cruise around the Peninsula to get a full view of Cabo San Lucas’ beautiful scenery.

  • Local markets & shops. These markets are such a great place to pick up souvenirs or gifts for yourself but you always have to be careful of the prices they ask for! Always try to make a good deal!

Misses:

  • Clubs on the strip - Honestly this is the only thing to steer clear of if you’re not a fan of loud, gross, and crazy environments. It was fun for maybe one night out, but after that it’s the same scene every night.
